Error with block sounds on 1.12.2 server

Bug Description

With 1.8.8 client when placing blocks, it does not make any sound and it gives the error posted above

Steps to Reproduce

Create a 1.12.2 server (with server.pro for example)

Join with 1.8.8

Place a block

Expected Behavior

The block place sound and not giving me an error in the console every time i put a block
