May I know the reason why you included the entire mmpose in your repository? Is it because the original mmpose does not have a ViT backbone? Also, what should I do if I want to use your ViTPose for another task as an estimator? Should I also include the entire mmpose in my repository?

I was wondering the same, but it seems that @Annbless implemented this in mmpose and the pull request is currently under review (https://github.com/open-mmlab/mmpose/pull/1937). Hopefully it gets merged soon :) (good job @Annbless )

FYI, ViTPose has been available in the 1.x version of MMPose, which I believe is now also the version on main branch. MR where ViTPose was added.
