Constantly Getting Stomped To Death By Hostile Mobs

I found a dungeon with 3 mob spawners relatively close to each other. Turned it into a mob grinder where mobs take fall damage and now I just keep dying to mobs that are stomping me. I'm guessing it's the shockwave enchant from (Abnormals) Allurement.

Very frustrating, especially considering this project took a long time to build even with 2 players working on it. I'm struggling to find a solution. Tried putting up a wall of solid blocks between me and the area that the mobs fall on but it didn't help.
