- Equip Terra Blade and attack a guardian with green projectile
- Get damaged????
What I expected to happen: Safely attack from distance
What happened instead: Got significant damage
The guardian spawns gaia traps (the purple stuff) whenever it teleports (including when it is damaged), are you sure you didn't stand in one? When one expires, it applies wither and magic damage.
I am sure, it's just like I hit guardian with common sword, exactly when projectile hits And I was always moving If I shoot if with bow, there is no damage to me, so problem is with terra blade Please reopen issue until there is clear what is going on

oh LOL we both miunderstood. We thought you meant the Gaia Guardian. This seems valid, the sword spawns a burst that counts as melee damage but it should probably count as projectile damage instead.
and post your full set of mods and try without botania
This is FTB Oceanblock, I will do a clean test with new minecraft instance of Botania only and report

I hope possible fix will not affect ability to hit Enderman then :)
The solution is either to make it indirect damage (which makes endermen teleport), or to mark it as magic (which lowers witch damage and may be affected by other mods, but does not make it unblockable).
Another option is using the new avoids_guardian_thorns damage type added in a 1.19.4 prerelease.
