Nothing happend after "starting up"

Modpack URL: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/modern-skyblock-2 (run as root)

Pressing the Stop button has no effect/change on the application. Have to kill the process to get it to go away.

When I run the app via terminal java -jar ~/Downloads/cmpdl-1.1.3.jar https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/project-ozone-2-reloaded like this the download works without a problem

But I too have the problem that the GUI freezes and have to kill it
