No window buttons when on the left

There are no window buttons in the title bar when they are left of appmenu. Changed the schema using dconf-editor. I tried close:appmenu, close,appmenu, close,minimize:appmenu. Afaik appmenu is just an alias for menu so that shouldn't be an issue. Workaround: right-click on title bar and select "Close" Expected behavior: Specified buttons should appear on the left as per specified schema.
