[Request] Add automatic replay skipping to the patches
Appologies if something I say is clearly ignorant of how things are actually implemented; I'm quite a ways off from most of these games so I'm making this ticket without having actually used any of these patches yet.
I notice that seemingly every game supported has issues with the replays breaking (save for AC1 which does not have replays) and while these mods sound really nice (especially for the PSP versions) the idea of having the games break after every Arena fight sounds a little too janky for my tastes, but I also don't really like the replays in the first place; They just add more time between victory and being back on the main menu.
So I was wondering if it was feasible to just skip the replay calls altogether, or at least automatically send the signal to end replay. It would remove (well, cover up) the issue with replays breaking, and if the replay can be skipped entirely that would be an entire load screen cut out (though I'm sure these platforms are extremely difficult to modify successfully so I understand if that's not feasible).
Thanks for making these, though, and appologies again if I'm a fool and these things are in fact addressed in the patches. The descriptions just say that replays are broken, but don't mention skipping them, so I thought I should ask on the assumption that there is no included automatic skipping.
Hello, the idea is good, so the issue will stay open ... although to be honest, I don't see myself solving this in the near future, since each game does it in a bit different way, so I'd have to hunt the calls again in every one of them. But if go back to revisit the patches (I have one idea about making the default deadzone used by the devs smaller and adjusting the analog formulas based on that), then I might try to solve this issue, too. Alternatively, since skipping the automatic replays isn't something directly related to my patches (although it becomes useful with them, I agree), if somebody else want to have a go at it, I'm not against integrating them afterwards :)
