Black screen again on Debian/Ubuntu based, using Wayland on Gnome

Steam loaded like normal, able to connect account, but everything on screen except Home bar and above were black. Clearly i should be able to see something in order to play games on it.

Tried running with no-cef-sandbox and cef-single-process, but nothing changed, neither beta or flatpak worked whatsoever.

Little questions, 1st: does the distro provided package and the official package differ in some way? 2nd: if i want to install from the official package, do i really need gdebi? Why not simply apt install ./steam_latest.deb (or maybe manually using dpkg)?

I have the same problem with multilib/steam 1.0.0.75-1 on arch (5.14.10-arch1-1). Cannot browse anything in the gui.

Big Picture mode still works (at least for me anyway) so as a workaround you can run steam -tenfoot from a terminal to at least bet able to play games
