Cannot using FSR as scaling type, and gaming mode display scaling is looking huge

  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
  • GPU: AMD
  • Hardware: ROG Ally RC71L_RC71L

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

From this issue https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/2446 in Bazzite . I have 2 issues.

  1. The gaming mode scaling was looking huge, and it had some crashes when using the gaming mode.
  2. I cannot use the FSR as a scaling type in any games.

Hello @KarinnoAmp, https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/11865#issuecomment-2771034614 is relevant here. Please elaborate on what scaling issue you're seeing as it's not clear from your description.

I have the same problem on Ally. By scaling, we mean everything is HUGE. If everything was 100% size (Steam and its entire UI, fonts, all icons and badges etc.) are now 400% BIGGER.

@kisak-valve Normally, before the update display scaling is like 100%, but after an update, it increases to more than 100% (~125%-150%). I tried to reduce in steam settings, but nothing happened

fsr missing is because platform-specific sharpening options now live under the "Sharp" notch:

I also cannot use FSR on my ROG Ally
