When a user launches a game from their Library, Steam shows its own Desktop Icon instead of the game's Icon on the Taskbar.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Navigate to Library
  2. Click any game and click Play
  3. If Panel Applets are set to show both Application Name or Window Title, the game's Icon is shown as Steam's Icon

For extra information: This is being done using the Flatpak version of Steam as the System Image [.deb] is out of date on Mint's Software Manager.

Was this issue ever solved? I'm having the same problem for the Aseprite game, but I'm using Ubuntu 24.04
