Steam Client Beta Aug 22nd 2024 can't set a screenshot key

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Go to "Media" in the gaming mode menu.
  2. Two options are presented, for set a screenshot key, this key is grey and cannot be clicked on. The other is set up game recording, this option is blue.

No key can be clicked on with an external controller or keyboard that I have noted.

Hello @Sunspark-007, you've described an issue with the Steam client instead of an issue with SteamOS as a platforn, so I've transferred this issue report to the steam-for-linux issue tracker.

On Steam Client Beta - September 6th update, I seem to be having the similar problem ? I can't bind function key for shortcut. It register as regular key like, X, Y, X, [ for F9, F10, F11, F12 respectively. Work as intended on stable. OS is Nobara 40 (based on Fedora 40). I'll get the logs when I have the time to try beta channel again.
