steamcmd failed to login after steam been authonticated

steamcmd downloaded from http://media.steampowered.com/client/steamcmd_linux.tar.gz have authentication issues.

  1. When steam (linux) client authenticated and exited, steamcmd will failed to reuse steam authentication when run. And failed with: "password: FAILED (Invalid Password)" Without trying to prompt for a password.

  2. When steamcmd fresh installed without steam (linux) client it will authenticate properly. But steam (linux) client will fail reuse steamcmd authentication and will ask for password on first start.

iirc you cannot use the steam client and steamcmd at the same time.

I'm not using them at the same time. First I start steamcmd enter credentials and then exit before I starting steam linux client.
