Edit: The Flatpak version doesn't work either. IT throws the same segfault warning.

Downgrading from 1.0.0.79-4.fc40 to 1.0.0.79-3.fc40 made it work again.

Hello @ad-on-is, this issue should also be mentioned to your distro's package maintainer(s) for Steam.

@kisak-valve strangely, after updating again, the Fedora rpmfusionversion works with the new 1.0.0.79-4

Congratulations on fixing your issue. Unfortunately, there's no usable hint here for a Steam dev to ponder as well. If you discover some other factor that was involved in this snafu, then add a note and ping me to re-open.

@kisak-valve For some strange reason, it stopped working again. I went ahead and deleted ~/.steam and ~/.local/share/Steam to install freshly, but the segfault is still there.

Any chance to debug this further?
