[CS:S] SDK for CS:S?
With the release of the TF2 SDK happening very recently, seeing as the rest of the old generation multiplayer source games run on the newest branch with little to no problem (and are just around the same age, if not even older) it'd be nice to have an SDK release for one of them, like CS:S.
I'd like to see all OB and pre-OB games in the SDK as well.
SDK for DoD:S and HLDM:S too! As well as HL:S and Portal SDKs in the singleplayer branch!
Doesn't that just mean that people can play the games for free Oh right I forgot you need TF2 for the TF2 SDK Also won't the other SDKs just waste up storage for people who only want to play TF2?

I'm talking about people who want to play other Valve games (Source 1, specifically)

Properly authored TF2 mods still require TF2 to be installed for assets; only HL2DM mods can be played without the base game. If CS:S, DoD:S, and HLDMS were added to the SDK, I'd imagine they would be in a similar situation to TF2. Also, if people only want to play TF2, they'll only install TF2, and not the SDK or SDK Base.

Seconding this. L4D/Portal 2/CSGO would require a completely separate SDK due to being a separate branch, and therefore take more work, but Portal 1 + HL:S could be added to the singleplayer SDK and CS:S + DoD:S + HLDMS added to the multiplayer SDK with just some auditing. It would mean the community could finally fix the numerous bugs in HLDMS, like all the entities being duplicated (which is allegedly trivial to fix, according to a former contractor).
Wasn't CS:S available in the 2004 sdk?
No, just some asset sources, such as cbble's VMF and the QC and SMD files for one of the playermodels.
