source-sdk-2013 Request: Left 4 Dead 2 SDK

If TF2 got its SDK release, I believe that the next popular multiplayer game on Source should also get some love

Left 4 Dead 1 has been abandoned for a good set of reasons, same reasons why it does not have workshop in 2025 and only get shared code security patches.

Left 4 Dead came out in 2008, it wouldn't make sense to include whatever they had of Source 2 - if it even existed - at the time into a commercial game, and as was rightfully so pointed out by Zeldaboy14, Alien Swarm exists and so does Portal 2 (not with an SDK, but y'know)

Also, forgot to note this yesterday, but L4D code is owned by Turtle Rock Studio's under Warner. Meaning valve would likely have a legal hurdle for that

Valve did most of the work for L4D. By the time L4D2 was released, they cleaned up most of the jank from L4D1 so Turtle Rock is irrelevant for L4D2.

I strongly support the release of the Left 4 Dead 2 SDK. Many in the community are eager to create mods and content, and releasing the SDK would breathe new life into the game.

Also, please release the SDK for L4D1, Portal 2(see https://github.com/ValveSoftware/portal2/issues/460) addition to L4D2?
