Build instructions should be updated

Hi guys!

I'm totally newbie on Source Engine and took me some hours to successfully build the source on Mac because the instructions on the site above are outdated:

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SDK2013_GettingStarted

Since that page is the main entry point for new developers it would be nice if someone could keep it in sync with this repository.

I agree as well. I just spent about three hours trying to understand it. Source SDK could gain allot more popularity if it didn't have this kind of barrier for beginners.

I realize this is an old request ... but as of today, information is still very sparse. Is there any chance of getting an update or is this dead now?

You are able to edit the page yourselves. If you managed to figure it out, you should revise the page with what you learned along the way.
