Any information on GAMESCOPE_STEAM_MAX_HEIGHT usage?

How would one use it, and which value has to be exported into, if one uses embedded session?

Well according to the commit https://github.com/Plagman/gamescope/commit/20062ec64579e646cb296703c829a3fd80588215

This appears to be for the Steam Deck Gamescope Session where Steam would be running in GamepadUI mode.

Probably related to the display scaling options that have been in the previous few updates.

Steam controls this atom. It clamps Steam's 'fullscreen' size. Steam is any appid with value 769.
