Nvidia long shader compilation after every update
Can someone confirm this?
After every update (e.g. recompiling from updated git) gamescope spent some time with high CPU load, for me it can be a few minutes which I believe is a shader compilation process. Too long compared to any other shader compilation, especially for
gamescope -- glxgears
.
I found produced binary and it seems grow with every update, current one was ~300MB and after deletion a new one was ~80MB. After this compilation finished gamescope runs fine with CPU load under ~2%.
Not a big deal for me, happen only one time after update, but very confusing. Can also be problem on my side because of some patches, so I expect just a confirmation rather than support from developers for now.
