Cursor Camera Control Sporadic Movements
OS: Arch Linux Display Server: X11 Desktop: BSPWM GPU Driver: nvidia 550.90.07 Gamescope Mode: nested
When moving from gamescope 3.14.24 to 3.14.26 I started having issues with the camera control in Lord of the Rings Online. The camera would often spin around to a random direction when clicking to drag the camera view port.
The offending commit is probably one or more of:
- 3c5a232269ef8adef56423bf9b2bb48cb5c0cd1d
- dade66318d852387bf8f1e91427dc7e2b5511826

The issue seems to be resolved by adding the argument --force-grab-cursor although a strange side affect was the cursor speed was affected.
Is the user expected to use --force-grab-cursor or was there a regression?
thanks it works
This is also happening with Plasma (Wayland). Experiencing this in Turtle WoW (Classic private server)
EDIT: Your fix works, and yes cursor speed was affected but I was able to amend this by switching off from Hardware Mouse and increasing the cursor speed for the software mouse in the game settings
Can confirm this is happening with Pop OS! 24_04 Cosmic (Wayland). I was experiencing this in Fromsoft such as Dark Souls Remastered and Elden Ring (as gamescope's --adaptive-sync option fixes their frame-pacing issues).
--force-grab-cursor fixed the issue, as noted above.
