Can't use the file explorer

I'm playing a game in Gamescope that opens the file explorer. It opens the native wine explorer and waits for me to pick a file. The problem is that if the game is running in Gamescope, I am unable to interact with the file explorer. I am able to see it, but it doesn't receive any input from my keyboard / mouse.
