Buy menu high GPU load

When opening the buy menu, GPU load increases significantly. edit: Whole system load increases, not only GPU.

Watch GPU load in top left corner of screen change when buy menu is opened/closed.

Unfortunately I can not remember if this has always been the case or when it did start.
