MSAA makes XWayland / X11 not stretch

When playing CS2 with XWayland, the game is supposed to stretch to fit your monitor in the "Windowed Fullscreen" mode. After testing, this seems to only be the case when using either no AA or CMAA2.

On native wayland this seems to not be an issue, however there are crashes on native wayland so I can't use it. Also, the scaling behaviour does seem to be different on XWL and Wayland. Whilst on xwayland my FPS counter on the top left is still normal (as seen on screenshots above), on wayland native the overlays are stretched:
