Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
in CS2 the Audio keeps randomly crashing/stopping mid game/match and sometimes not even mid game/match, whenever i connect the game to my Headphones it keeps randomly stopping and all i hear is dead silence from the game(Untill i restart the game) but when i route the game to use my monitor(Through HDMI) and then i mod the loop to go through my headphones it somehow works fine(untill i reboot the game because then it'll connect again to my monitor). Valve Please Fix
Steps for reproducing this issue:
- Install Linux Arch(Archinstall) and Grab a HyperX Could 2 gaming headset
- Install and Launch CS2
- Play CS2 for like 3 or 4 matchmaking rounds and eventually you'll get the audio issue
Steps on how i get around the issue:
- Open CS2 go to settings and
- set audio settings from:
- to:
- after that open qpwgraph and set the audio from the monitor to the headphones

Happens to me aswell, i just restart the game, but its really annoying. Sometimes i can fiddle with the audio device settings and it might start again. Mine happens on Pop OS though.
This seems to have fixed it for me https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/3805#issuecomment-2235159020

Tried it and it doesn't work, audio still keeps cutting off randomly
Not only on Arch Linux but on Pop!_OS too.
I have had the same issue with cs2, and my wife also has the same issue with dota2.
Both using Arch and pipewire.
I've been having the same problem, happens multiple times a game.
Also happens to me after a few rounds, Nobara 40
Same thing, also for dota2. almost unplayable
That bug hit me one week ago the first time and I see this problem about 4-6 times (!) per match and I have to restart my game
OpenSuse Tumbleweed with Pipewire, but Pipewire has been used by the system at least since one year, so I don't know why it now suddenly happened

try this from @C0rn3j
Issue resolved from my end for the last few months. I didn't change anything on my system, except normal package updates.
The audio issue happens less compared to before, but it still does happen. There are also instances of sped up audio and crackling sound until the game is restarted.
Honestly i am so fed up with Valve Treating the Linux Port of CS2 like cr4p that I might just start a Petition to force Valve to start pushing updates for Linux's CS2 port, CS2 has been walking(not running but walking) like dog sh!t lately.
Happening after Oct 15 update, Debian 13.1 Trixie. Using pipewire.
Mint 22.2, pipewire. I just started playing CS2 and have encountered this daily. On at least one occasion, it happened when audio played from another application (Steam specifically). I have never encountered this on TF2.
I notice that it will tend to happen when the CPU receives a high amount of load (e.g. when compiling shaders). The way I get around this happening in maps is to try to run through every map first before loading into a game. Though I completely forgot to throw at least one grenade, causing shaders to compile, resulting in me losing audio.
