CS2 stutters on Intel Arc A770

Your system information

  • System information from steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) in a gist: https://gist.github.com/Oreoezi/c683e9f3210e1ddbcbc3e9cd027ccb6d
  • Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes/No] Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen. Please link any large pastes as a Github Gist.

The game seems to be stuttering, but cl_showfps 1 doesn't point out any FPS drops. This does not seem to be an issue for a couple other games I've tested. My data is limited, as I don't play many other games besides Counter-Strike.

The stutters are frequent, perceived as short freezes. They seem to happen more when there is action on the screen (smokes and molotovs on screen, enemies peeking, etc) and less at the start of rounds or during freezetime.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Booting up the game
  2. Loading into a map

Try dsisabling Hyper-Treading

I used to use a GTX 1660 super. That card should, in theory, be significantly slower, but I get no stutters on it and better overall framerates. I don't think hyper-threading is at fault if, given the same configuration, I get stutters on the Intel GPU but not on the Nvidia one.

Disabling hyper-threading can be helpful if you have a newer processor with E-Cores, but it is not relevant in my configuration. Thanks for the reply.
