FPS will drop significantly during Match Making when unckeck "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" in Steam settings

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Steam -> Settings -> In Game -> uncheck "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game"
2. Start CS:GO -> join a Match Making server
3. during game play FPS will drop below 40fps and the only way to solve it was to restart CS:GO

OS: Linux Fedora 35

Details: I was trying to boost my fps, after some google i found out that disable Steam Overlay will boost FPS in GS:GO. I gave that a try, FPS was boosted a bit, game a little bit smoother. But the downside is my FPS will drop from 140FPS to 30-40 FPS during the game. After i tick the "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game", my FPS will not drop below 30-40 FPS for the rest of the day.
