Hi, I think is the same problem that I had long time ago, right?

I hope Valve can improve SteamVr and all this stuff, as HLAlyx is waiting for us before hl3 goes on sale.

Yes looks like the same problem

Same behaviour here.

It's really sad that after so many years and the DRM leasing protocol finally being merged, we still don't have SteamVR support under Wayland.

I can understand that these bugs are very complicated to find (years surely some), but it would be nice more feedback from VALVe, something official for SteamVr for Linux users. A long term plan with priorities.

Please @kisak-valve say something about it.

We have for a few months, I removed X11 of my desktop in february and still am able to play VR (arch + gnome 48). I mostly play Beat Saber, but it works quite well.

I had this log out issue with some gnome extensions (like Tray Icons: reloaded, or TopIconsFix, maybe dashtodock, not sure anymore). You may try deactivating extensions.

Replying to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/SteamVR-for-Linux/issues/774#issuecomment-2781248431

Oh good idea I will try it out later to see if it helps

Just for some context, I'm using a Ryzen 7 7700X w/ a Radeon 9070 XT. The CPU has integrated gfx. I'm attempting to use ALVR with a Quest 3s.

I've also been dealing with this issue for a good bit and I can confirm under the SteamVR [beta] release that disabling the System Tray extension seems to allow it to launch without immediately booting to the login screen. Originally the monitor would stay on for ~ 10 seconds before it booted me back to the Login Screen. Now, I can at least get to the point where I can open SteamVR until I put the headset on.

I've messed around setting launch options and so far I'm at the point where I can see a green square (Likely an un-rendered/corrupted image or something) on my quest before the PC boots back to the login page.

This is a general overview of the logs I'm getting if anyone else has anything similar. Anyone else have any ideas?
