[BUG] coredump of SteamTours and HL:Alyx

Describe the bug I have been getting a coredump of VR home and hl:alyx recently on the beta client (although alyx core dumps no matter the client version). I can launch other VR apps through the VR interface (the void) and they work correctly. I believe these apps are related as they both use Source2?

Expected behavior Launch VR and SteamVR home launches. Launch Alyx
