Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

While docked with the official steam deck dock or with a usbc to hdmi cable, the steam deck audio will glitch out briefly, The audio will cut out and come back or will start glitching with moments of buzzing before coming back. This issue is also reported from multiple people and still has yet to be fixed. Have tried multiple hdmi cables from multiple brands and tvs from multiple brands. This issue keeps the steam deck from being the perfect gaming console

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Play game for a while, observe the glitch

EDIT: I have found a temporary fix around this issue. Disabling Wifi power management in developer settings fixes the glitching issue. Haven't experienced the issue for about 7 hours of playtime.

Have also reproduced this with three different HDMI outputs (including Valve dock) and four different TVs/receivers from various brands.

Now on SteamOS 3.4.4, no apparent change.

Still a big issue, seems to affect many people. See also:

Haven't tried the WiFi setting, yet...

No, disabling WiFi power management didn't help...

Can't say I'm surprised. When docked I usually turn Wi-Fi off entirely, and the audio still drops out. Happens with both 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps wired networks, and on 802.11n + ac wireless. Doesn't seem to matter how the Deck is connected to the Internet; I've even reproduced this problem with all networking turned off (though even in that case I still use Bluetooth for a controller or mouse/keyboard).

This is still happening to me using an usbc hub+hdmi+eth adapter. Sometimes it works just fine, other times it glitches every other minute

This is happening to me while playing GTA:SA. But the audio is cutting out for half a second every few seconds… The TV works fine with a Switch and without docking the game runs flawlessly…

~~Actually never mind, there was a dock update available and that seems to have fixed it 🤦‍♂️~~

It worked for about half an hour and after that it started glitching again. I’ll try the workaround with the wifi power management and report back. (it didn't work). I am using an official xbox controller that's connected via bluetooth.
