SteamDeck: Preinstall ApertureDeskJob

Having Aperture Desk Job preinstalled on a new Deck would dramatically improve the out-of-the-box experience and help new users master the basics needed to really enjoy this device.

Completely disagree ! If people want it, they will install it. Otherwise its a bloatware.

If Valve thinks that this game is doing such a good job to introduce people to the Deck, they could display some kind of recommendation on the first startup or something to install the game. But I agree, that such things shouldn't be pre-installed. It takes too many ressources

I believe that it should be a recommended install when you first set up the Deck. For example, maybe put it as the first item on the carousel when you first set up the Deck and don't already have it on your account. But pre-installing it should be optional, as it takes a significant amount of disk and bandwidth. It is a good way to show off the Deck's capabilities, however, and it should be much more accessible than it is now to new Steam Deck users.

I had the same idea (pre-flashed, not downloaded) and it could just be deleted, if the user doesn't want it. You could even ask the user if he does on the first boot. This way it would not even cost any resources. It rather would be an opt-out.
