[Bug Report:] Steamdeck OS on Desktop Mode won't set to beta even if device is opted in:

• Steam client version: SteamDeck in dev mode (Beta Build)
• SteamOS version: 3.0
• Opted into Steam client beta?: [No - This is what I want to do]
• Opted into SteamOS beta?: [Yes]
• Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: [Yes - There are none atm]

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

So while opted into OS Beta, I tried to check the desktop mode client. All other settings carry over except for Beta. Trying to opt-in simply get turned back after closing and opening the desktop client. And if I try to check for updates instead of restarting it just reverts after installing :/

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Set up SteamDeck & Opt into Beta.
2. Switch to Desktop Mode and verify that the other settings have carried over.
3. Try to opt-into the Desktop Client [PAL] beta & restart the desktop app when asked.

Potentially done as of latest preview builds, saw it as on option in both Steam Launcher & UI Settings temporarily

Waiting to see if it can come back or if OS, Firmware, and launcher software are all lumped into the most unstable preview ring.
