[Suggestion] SteamOS 3.0 and screen casting

Being able to screen cast from a steam deck to a TV while still using the steam deck's controller setup would be awesome!! Perhaps show friends and messages on the steam deck while the game is being played on the larger screen.

As in on the full steam client you're talking about broadcasting?

If you are wanting to play using the console while stood in front of the TV why wouldn't you run run a HDMI cable and not have to worry about WiFi latency?

Being able to screen cast aka chromecast to a TV would be helpful especially in cases where you are a guest. Running an HDMI cord isn't always an option.

Hi,

While I don't dislike the idea, generally screen casting using chromecast ads a delay of I think 500ms depending on the receiver. It's optimized for video and not real time gaming. It's quite different from steam in home streaming.
