Project situation

SteamOS.It's been 2 years since the new version was released. Is the project still alive?

To chime in, I was planning on converting an old laptop into a steam machine and using that as my main on the go device (and maybe remote play post-covid), but after looking into a lack of updates, I'm hesitant on it.

If this project is going to end, I'll just use Debian stable with open source graphics drivers and a Debian testing userland.

@zilckiq-github @trafalmuffti This is a good question, since Steam is trying to have another go on releasing a Steam console using Linux as the OS.

So they either worked on SteamOS behind the scenes or they use something completely new / different.
