Trackpad on Legion Go S does not work

- Change settings regarding trackpad, does not work in either game mode or desktop
I have the same problem. It worked just after setup, but doesn't work anymore.
Not even when I set it as a button in the steam controller input. As if it's dead.

If you download and update the trackpad firmware from the link above, it will work. The white version of the Legion Go S has an older version of the firmware installed, which is why the issue occurs.
Please refer to the installation instructions by translating the page linked above.
Also, you don't need to update MUC.
The latest version, 0.0.3.8, is already installed.

Please check the trackpad firmware with the file link above. If the nebula product is an early release version, it may not be the latest version.

Flashed Windows 11 PE on a USB drive, copied the FW files to it, booted off the USB and updated the trackpad firmware (from 12 to 21 version). Works fine now.

I honestly don't know what i'm doing but I've attempted to use cmd in windows recovery mode as i want to avoid reinstalling windows, I flased a standard windows 11 ISO, my question is do i have to use a Windoes PE flash for it to work that way?

You can use Rufus to put Hiren’s BootCD PE on an USB key, boot the Legion Go S from it, and do the trackpad firmware upgrade from there.
I downloaded this zip and according to the Lenovo website after being translated it says “SPIO or BetterLife” will be displayed. I have both folders in the zip file but I’m not sure which one to choose?
@OlliePicklez in that folder you should see an Update.bat file (Windows Batch File). When double clicking on it will open a terminal window and should tell you what trackpad you have "SIPO or BetterLife". Knowing which one you have, close the terminal, open the folder with the name of your trackpad, SIPO_TP_Updater or CTPTools for BetterLife. Then install the driver.

This only works for SPIO. BetterLife requires OpenGL, which isn't part of Hiren's PE.
Rufus - Vanilla Windows 11 on Stick worked.
However, booting into SteamOS again unfortunately showed that the Trackpad was working, but the Steam button and Quick Settings buttons weren't. I reset the controller with QS+RB+Menu, so they worked again, but the Trackpad didn't anymore.
Any suggestion?
BetterLife updater worked on Hiren's PE after I copied opengl32.dll and glu32.dll from C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (on the regular desktop Win11) into the BetterLife folder.
Alright, I did the Hiren's PE USB, and i have the BetterLife version. I updated the firmware, but still the touchpad is not working in SteamOS. It simply does not react at anything when I go through the controller test environment. On the other hand in Bios and Windows it works just fine. Any ideas what else I can do. What about the QS+RB+Menu reset thing. Which buttons are they?

For me it doesn't work in the Steam client but works both in games and in the desktop mode.
