After 3.7.8 update power button not responding

After updating to latest version the power button stopped responding in gameofe and desktop mode. the action item to sleep when hit power button is set in desktop mode though the steam does not go in sleep mode. It's the same issue in game mode. After hitting the power button for multiple time the stem deck sleeps the same happens when wakingup the deck. The issue started after updating the steam ps to latest version: Describe what you expected should happen. The steam deck should turn on and off with a single click when power button pressed.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Pressthe power button
2. Does not wake up the device if in sleep mode and vice versa.
3. Multipl clicks power button turns on steam deck and vice versa.
