AirPods Pro 2 stuttering after a few minutes of gameplay

While using the AirPods Pro 2, they start crackling and stuttering after only 10-15 minutes of gameplay (in my case Elden Ring). Reconnecting the headset resolves the issue, but is very cumbersome due to the frequency.
