Increasing number of vertical green lines appearing on Steam OLED screen during transition from Desktop Mode to Gaming Mode (SteamOS 3.6 Beta)

Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen.

I was doing some config on Desktop mode (file management and EmuDeck configs), however when going back to Gaming mode suddenly a bunch of vertical green lines started appearing on the right side of the screen, almost filling that side of the screen. When I first noticed this I started pressing the power button to turn off the screen and see if it was gone or if it was permanent (likely indicating hardware damage). After the screen turned off and on again I was back to the lock screen with the screen working as normal and after unlocking I have so far not noticed the issue again.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Go to Desktop mode
2. Use Desktop mode as normal
3. Switch back to Gaming mode
4. Check for any weird behavior on the screen during the transition
