Your system information

  • Steam client version: 170510872
  • SteamOS version: 3.5.7
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: [Yes/No] No
  • Opted into SteamOS beta?: [Yes/No] No
  • Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: [Yes/No] Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

After connecting the deck to the official docking stations the steam Loading splash screen stays on top of the game, even though the game loaded correctly in the background. You can hear all sounds. When opening a steam overlay menu by pressing the dedicated buttons, you can see the graphics and animations. After closing the windows, you go back to the splash screen. It's a black background with the steam logo and rotating circle around it.

Rebooting the steamdeck, or changing the Proton version multiple times via settings often fixes this issue.

This happens on the attached Hdmi device and the steamdeck itself.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Connect steamdeck to docking station
  2. Connect screen via hdmi (1080p/60Hz in my case)
  3. Start game
  4. Optional:remove from dock
