Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
There is a little fps drop when changing the volume. It does happen with all games I have tried.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
- Open any game
- Adjust volume up/down
- FPS drops for just a second after changing the volume
It's not just the volume OSD that causes it. Notifications cause a FPS drop as well.
I've noticed a similar issue with the SteaOS UI when using an external display. The auto scaling option wasn't working as expected. The settings menu was being displayed only on part of the screen, not on the whole screen as it is on the Steam Deck. Manually increasing the value of the UI scaling setting gave me a rather stuttery SteamOS UI with 3.5.
I'll check if this is still the case with the 3.5.1 preview build and update this comment.
Just tried 3.5.1, and the notification OSD FPS drop still happens unfortunately.
I get the same issue here. It also happens with any ui change but more so with volume some reason.
This is still happening as of 3.5.4, the frame time spikes are nowhere near as bad as they were on regular 3.5, but still are annoying.
