Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen. Error message in Discover: "An error occurred calling the 'steamos-atomupd-client' helper; Child process exited with code 1

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Goto Desktop mode
2. Open discover.
3. Message reappears if closed and go to updates i discover.

Hello @DarkenLX, please describe what update channel you're using. In particular, if you were using the [main] update channel, check if you are affected by #1132 and if you are, then follow the workaround at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/SteamOS/issues/1132#issuecomment-1715440050 to get out of that situation.
