[HL2] Unplayable since Anniversary Update (Black Screen on Linux)

Since the anniversary update the game is unplayable. The game runs, but only displays a black screen, with sounds playing in the background. The game worked before the Anniversary update so I don't know what could be the issue.

Does it help if you use the -vulkan launch option?

I've just spin up HL2: Episode One again, it works fine with -vulkan. While it still shows a black screen with OpenGL.
