[TF2] Los Muertos crash when spectating teammate who enters portal

Playing on the Los Muertos, Halloween KOTH event map

Was dead, spectating a teammate That teammate ran into that portal at the back of the graveyard tower that rarely opens

Then as soon as he touched the portal, my game crashed with the following error:

'too many indices for index buffer. . tell a programmer (39504>32768)'

More information will be needed. Can't reproduce it easily.
