[TF2 Linux] Game started randomly freezing/starting with no audio, now never starts with audio

In around July of this year, roughly when the summer update released, some patch released that caused the game to start with no audio around ~90% of the time. It was 100% random, and occasionally the game would start and completely freeze my computer, forcing me to hard restart it.

Now, after the Scream Fortress update released, the game never starts with audio. The game would continue to randomly freeze on startup, but adding the "-freq 144" launch option fixed that issue specifically.
