[WIN7/11] WHY CRASH TF2?

Open oknehsayli opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Please tell me how to launch the game on an old version of Steam? Right now, it just starts and immediately closes. There are no commands in the launch parameters. The Windows version also doesn't matter, the problem occurs on both Windows 11 and Windows 7. Any recommendations to update something will be ignored.

Are you perhaps trying to launch any beta branch of Team Fortress 2?

Возможно, вы пытаетесь запустить какую-нибудь бета-ветку Team Fortress 2?

I'd like to understand which file in Steam is responsible for launching the game. Because, as I understand it, the issue is not with the game itself, but with the fact that Steam is outdated. If it weren't for the high CPU and RAM, I would switch to the new version.

This is not a help forum on how to solve issues, but to report bugs and submit feature requests. Refusing to update Steam and having stuff fail is not a bug, but an expected outcome, also not an issue with Source 1 games.

The fact that the tf2 crashes is a issue, that's why I'm writing to have it fixed.

Then it's a duplicate of #5819
