[TF2][Feature Request] Bring back Halloween Strangifiers, Halloween Killstreak Kits, and the Eternaween server enchantment.
Re-enable the ability to obtain Strangifiers & Killstreak kits for halloween items like the Headless Horseman's Headtaker or Necro Smasher. These items items have not been traded / sold / unboxed since 2014 (I think) & I see no reason for them to not be unboxable again. While we're at it, may as well re-enable the ability to unbox Eternaween Enchantments
All of these items would act as a "bonus drop" in a case, exactly like Taunt Unusualifiers & halloween restricted cosmetics currently work. Maybe these items can have the same unbox rate as an Unusualifier as well?
This really wouldn't affect the economy either, as many of these items have not been traded / sold since pre-Jungle Inferno. Can't crash a market when it doesn't exist in the first place.

Oh, that would be so neat if they bring them back, however, from what I see, the prices of these items are quite high on the Steam Market, since they are so extraordinarily rare these days, therefore, there could be some degree of economy impact here and there.
As for the drop rates, I'm not 100% sure, but most likely the Strangifiers had a "unusual" drop rate, based on the "Exceedingly Rare Halloween-themed Special item!" description of the crates.

In my opinion this could be remedied by drop rates. Here is an example.
Eternaween - 10% Basic Killstreak Kit (All) - 5% Specalized Killstreak Kit (Necro Smasher) - 3% Professional Killstreak Kit (Necro Smasher) - 1% Specalized Killstreak Kit (Headtaker) - 0.5% Strangifier (All) - 0.3% Professional Killstreak Kit (Headtaker) - 0.3%
Headtaker Killstreak Kits should be made significantly rarer to preserve most (if not all) of their resale value.
Eternaweens used to mostly be a timed drop item during the Scream Fortress event; if they were returned it would be nice to have them returned to the drop pool as opposed to case bonuses imo.
If you are trying to preserve market value with those unbox rates you're gonna need to lower them even more, probably to around 1/1000.
The return of necro smasher kits and strangifiers would be much appreciated.
I own some of the items that would be affected by this change but have to agree with this ticket. The items came from unpopular crates so the rarities were never really great at any time. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the unused items exist in the single digits in 2022. Many of the items these tools were intended for are also untradable which has greatly affected their obtainability/price.
The only concern I have with this is that the existing case-exclusive bonus items system is currently used for the holiday-restricted items in each Halloween collection. Maybe a better solution is to have it in the global case bonus pool (currently used for tools/unusualifiers) for the extent of the event?
These NEED to return. Eternaweens, Smasher and Headtaker kits/strangifiers. It's ludicrous how limited some of them are. It's literally perfect as bonuses for halloween cases or as MVM drops during halloween

What if these kits were added into the two cities drop pool for halloween? That would be dope.

I honesty don't think prices would be that affected when you take into account people using them on untradable achievement items.
I was referring more to the actual tool prices themselves (and items such as the Ghastlierest Gibus which is tradable). That said, most of the items do only apply to non-tradable items so I'd be for it.
This is definitely something that should be done, I'd love a strange Necro Smasher/Head Taker but it's not even worth getting a strangifier for them due to how stupidly expensive they are.
The Halloween exclusive killstreak kits should be a bonus drop from unboxing cases as they are near impossible to acquire as the crates they are from are already expensive enough and there's very little of the crates in existence now.
Eternaween enchant should be brought back as a bonus drop, wonder why this one stopped dropping.
I would love to have a strange headtaker, that way I could use it instead of my eyelander too
