[TF2] Miniguns draw only one tracer per four-bullet batch
The FireBulletsInfo_t.m_iTracerFreq appears to be set wrong for Heavy's miniguns, which are known to fire four bullets per batch, but only draw one tracer particle. game/shared/tf/tf_fx_shared.cpp sets a default of 2 on other weapons, but this assignment explicitly skips miniguns. This compromises visual information to players, especially a Heavy who cannot easily gauge the size of their firing cone. It is especially frustrating when dealing with the one-second ramp up in accuracy when spinning up the weapon.
Other weapons that fire multiple bullets per shot do not share this issue, so accuracy changes are easier for the player to see, i.e. The Panic Attack's accuracy loss on consecutive shots.
Was this done as a last ditch performance improvement, or is it completely unintended behavior?
i assume this was done as it would look more like heavy is firing a auto shotgun if it shot all 4 tracers at the same time rather than the current version
Meh, it still could be changed to make the miniguns look moe imposing and threatning ..
