[L4D2] Most props sometimes dissappear when using -vulkan
System info: Arch Linux Kernel 5.12.14-zen1-1-zen AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Mesa 21.1.3
This only happens occasionally, but sometimes most (but not all) props become invisible until the next map gets loaded. Videos: Left 4 Dead 2 Vulkan renderer bug 1 Left 4 Dead 2 Vulkan renderer bug 2
This happens to me even without using -vulkan. Also linux ubuntu 20.04.
Same issue. Also happens with OpenGL.
I also had this couple of times
I was able to reproduce this bug twice at the same spot on Swamp Fever: The Swamp near air plane.
First time I was playing Tank and after that I closed game. Then I reached this spot as survivor and this happened again at the same place.
There are huge amount of records in logs like this:
CUtlLinkedList overflow! (exhausted index range)
Happens on both -vulkan and opengl for me. steam system info
This hasn't happened to me in a long while actually. If it still happens to others I guess I'll keep the issue open?
I experienced this issue a couple months ago on c7m2_barge after the ramp from the water next to the half sunken boat in that little pond area. I got the same error as @gudvinr spammed to console then I gradually got more client latency until I crashed. I may have been hosting the map, but I'm not sure.
Anyone find a solution for this? I can't play L4D2 for months because of this, it's the only game I play. 😞
This is still an issue into 2024.
