Symptoms
Game launches to a black screen.
Reproduction
Start the game.
Hello @Sojiro84, these look like lines of interest from the log:
err:steamclient:create_win_interface Don't recognize interface name: SteamNetworkingSockets008
err:combase:RoGetActivationFactory Failed to find library for L"Windows.System.DispatcherQueue"
This game would also benefit from support for Media Foundation maturing.
Interesting.
I would not have linked that to the mfplat issue. I did try the mfplat workaround but that ended up crashing the game at the start.
I am unsure if this is the right place to mention this but, with the release of Proton-5.6-GE-2 (https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases) I was able to boot the game and start playing.
The only issue it has at this moment is that the audio is sort of broken. The people speaking sound like robotic chipmunks (the ambiance sounds are also effected).
The video and everything else works perfectly and looks perfect as well. I don't notice any frame-pacing issues.
I can confirm - the game starts with Proton-5.6-GE-2 but the sounds are broken. At the moment Proton GE is the only version of Wine capable running this game.
The game is working fine with Proton-5.8-GE-2-MF!!! Thank you GloriousEggroll!!!
System Information

- Distro version: Mint 20 (64 bit) (Cinnamon)

Compatibility Report
With Proton 5.0-9 the game launches to a black screen and nothing happens.
With unofficial -5.8-GE-2-MF and 5.9-GE-7-ST the game is playable, but with a loud audio buzz/glitch that occurs when making choices/scene changes in the game.
The game is perfectly playable with proton 7.0-1. But there seems to be a regression in experimental. None of the videos not even the main loading screen/logos load.

@arshubham Thank you for reporting this! This should be fixed with the experimental release that just went live :)
@alasky17 Can confirm that the issue is fixed in experimental.
Finished the game using proton experimental. However got a crash when skipping scenes very quickly during a subsequent playthrough. I don't know if it is a game bug or not.

This may have been fixed with experimental before but I have tried Proton 7.0-1; Experimental; and GE and found none of them made the game playable for me today.

My issue on both:
I have checked whether there are updates for my system available and I am up to date.
System Information:
Distro: Garuda
GPU: RX 580 8GB
Driver/LLVM version: Mesa 22.0.1/13.0.1
Kernel version: 5.17.1-zen1-1-zen
https://gist.github.com/Simmonz/aa67f2398059a5a7fa4304617c9e5599
System Information
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700
- Driver/LLVM version: Mesa 22.1.0-devel
- Kernel version: 5.16.18-201.fsync.fc35.x86_64
I also only see the test pattern with current Proton 7.0-1 and Proton Experimental (experimental-bleeding-edge-7.0-13547-20220409-pf477c4-w0ad7e8-d727ba8-v25c4bc)
(There appears to also be a regression with Proton GE. Using GE-Proton7-14 I get garbled video, with older GE-Proton7-5 the game and videos work properly.)
Game is working for me now with proton-7.0-4 without problems, videos are playing correctly and without audio glitches.
