Issue that prevent me from playing this game
- The game opens and close and after a second this appears.
Hello @CrackedCrafterz, please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
to the game's launch options and drag and drop the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log into the comment box.
I have recreated this same crash and I get the same popup. Proton Log is here steam-470220.log
Uplay support
UNO can now be started but hangs on the health warning. The workaround is to disable the uplay overlay but by disabling the overlay, the online functions gets also disabled in UNO.

With the overlay disabled is there anyway on joining a game? Or have you found any work arounds for this?
With the overlay disabled is there anyway on joining a game?
Hi @james090500
I think its not possible.
I don't own the game on Steam directly but I confirm it work pretty well with Proton 4.11 and D9VK but the overlay need to be disabled and so no online game is sadly possible...
Edit: I don't see where is the comment about why I use d9vk but I checked it https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Uno_(2016) where they said it was compatible Directx 9 so I just thought it was only a Directx 9 game.
@kadogo I have played in the past uno with DXVK before d9vk came and here is a prove from youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulKWuaJFx8U, i guess dx9 is a fallback if dx11 is not present.
@Alexander88207 Thanks I didn't know that. I will try again later without taking care of d9vk then. Thanks for the info. Now just waiting that we can do something about the multiplayer/overlay.
I just tested uninstalling and reinstalling UNO with Proton 5.0-4 on Manjaro and the game instead of starting uplay now just opens the browser with the link to uplay's website
For me the multiplayer mode is not working.
@xcom169 I didn't tried again from my last time, but when I launched I must disable uplay overlay and for what I understand without the overlay you cannot play online.
Maybe I'm wrong in that case please correct me because I would love to play UNO online too ^^
Online does not work with any proton version, the game stays stuck at loading. On Proton-GE-6.12 the online is able to find a match but it crashes as soon as the game tries to start.
CPU: 3900x GPU: Vega 64 OS: Arch
Same behavior with Proton Experimental. Game launches normally but no online services are available. This game would be nice to have on the Steam Deck. Some errors I could find:
8436.059:022c:02a0:warn:seh:dispatch_exception "[1006/151930.536:WARNING:cert_verify_proc_win.cc(105)] Unknown error -2146762482 mapped to net::ERR_FAILED\n"
8701.577:07ac:07b0:err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. Make sure that ntlm_auth >= 3.0.25 is in your path. Usually, you can find it in the winbind package of your distribution.
8417.554:02b0:02b4:warn:seh:dispatch_exception "[1006/151912.031:ERROR:dxva_video_decode_accelerator_win.cc(1448)] DXVAVDA fatal error: could not LoadLibrary: msvproc.dll: Module not found. (0x7E)\n"
OS: Manjaro Testing Branch (Build ID: rolling)
Is samba installed? ntlm_auth is part of winbind, and winbind is part of samba
With latest Experimental and 7.0, the game works, UbiConnect works as expected, but the game refuses to let me play online. If I didn't know any better, I'd think the crash logs are saying audio stuff can't be muted?
- Log with a bunch of
trace:seh:NtGetContextThread
filtered out. Not very useful. steam-470220-filtered.log - Additional log from the game itself: output_log.txt
- Additional log from the game itself: error.log
Crash dump available on demand, but it's 7.7mb.

Same here. I still can't play online, solo works fine. Apparently, some users are now able to play online as they reported at ProtonDB, but I'm still getting the same behavior as before.
My crash dumps, on which I get the exact same behavior:
UNO multiplayer is working fine now using Proton Experimental.
Having an issue with UNO online multiplayer sessions not being joinable on Proton 7.0-4, Proton Experimental, and latest GE (7-36).
Having an issue with UNO online multiplayer sessions not being joinable on Proton 7.0-4, Proton Experimental, and latest GE (7-36).
I am also facing this issue, with Proton experimental. Ubisoft overlay and game launches fine, but when I try to join a friends lobby it says that it is unavailable. This happens when hosting as well.
Unsure whether my issue (or yours) is due to the fact that the game cannot be activated somehow. Refunded the game.
Uno multiplayer fails to connect using Proton, 7.0-5, Proton Experimental and GE-Proton7-43, Ubisoft overlay sometimes bugs out when closing and remains open with the game interactable in the background requiring a game restart to fix
Proton Experimental log (google drive link due to size): steam-470220.log
"Unable to detect Ubisoft Connect installation. Please make sure Ubisoft Connect is installed." Tried with 7.0-6 and Experimental same message, also i have another ubisoft game installed(Trackmania/2225070) which installed ubi connect and works.
