Whitelist Request
- Name of the game to be whitelisted: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
- Steam AppID of the game: 454650
System Information
- Link to full system information report: https://gist.github.com/kadogo/a72b612e48ede28a5bd7495b268de99d
- Proton version: 3.7-6 Beta
I confirm:
- [x] that pressing the
Playbutton in the Steam client is sufficient. - [ ] that runtime config options are necessary to run the game.
- [x] that no workarounds other than the mentioned ones are necessary.
Issues
- [x] I haven't experienced any issues.
- [x] There are no issues left open for this game.
- [x] Although I consider the gaming experience equal to Windows there are remaining issues:
- The speed is around 30 / 35 fps everywhere but it's maybe related to my graphic card that is not enough to make the game fluent in HD with all settings to low
Without the speed issue the game look working pretty well.
[Compatibility Report] Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 - Multiplayer is disabled

- [ ] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.
Symptoms
Online features of the game is disabled, mostly due to Easy Anti-Cheat not being compatible with Proton.
Reproduction
Just run the game.
Implementation of some kind of whitelist/integration of anti-cheat systems into Proton is tracked here: #1468
4.11-10
The EAC splash screen now appears, but fails to initialize the anti-cheat.
Previously you could join the Multiplayer lobby (but not play online) but now the game immediately says EAC is not active and the game will be limited to singleplayer only.
Easy Anti Cheat is still broken in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Steam labeled this game as "Steam Deck Verified", however the game's online functionality does not work because of Easy Anti Cheat. I believe this game's Steam Deck Compatibility status should be changed to "Playable" until if/when Easy Anti Cheat is updated
Wonder if there could be a way of bringing this up to Dimps or Namco, specially since it seems like Gundam Evolution is finally enabling EAC support, would be nice to see the same for this or DBFZ.
The game is not steam deck verified anymore
The most recent update for this game now allows you to connect to game servers while using Proton Experimental, however multiplayer features are still disabled because the game starts without EAC.
But it no longer says the game will start in offline mode when it launches. It seems maybe one step closer to multiplayer compatibility?
I confirm that the game starts but anything that is online doesn't work.
I read on ProtonDB that the game started working recently, but I'm running into issue with "Unable to validate host integrity"
Any ideas what could be going wrong?
https://www.protondb.com/app/454650
I can confirm the issue "Unable to validade host integrity".
It is happening to me too.
Seems like after the countdown to start the match, the game does not try to connect at all. My guess is that some anti-cheat validation is failing.
Failure to start an online match seems a general problem, as people are reporting the same issue in Windows 10
Failure to start an online match seems a general problem, as people are reporting the same issue in Windows 10
But I have no issues running a match on Windows 11
Game blocked with proton because of anticheat
I can confirm the same issue, unsure if proton needs updating or if they straight up blocked it intentionally
