When I used the “Hammer” it was written that the gem would be removed and the gem slot would be destroyed, then I wanted to “cut out” the gem slot and replace it with a new one, but as it turned out, the arcane was destroyed, not the gem slot, steam support refuses to return the item because for the user's lack of attention when the warning does not say a word about the destruction of arcane

the regular artificer's hammer (blue) doesn't destroy item, but cannot extract prismatic and ethereal gems i think
